The Board Effectiveness Program is designed to get beyond the rhetoric of corporate governance reform, towards building the critical skills that board members need to have in order to address the complex challenges that they face on todays global market, and to contribute to an effective board that delivers value.

The Board Effectiveness Program is offered as 2 modules of 4 days each with education and training and includes Individual Performance Coaching. The Board Effectiveness Program is certified and designed by the Global University Alliance.

The Board Effectiveness Program captures tried-and-true practices used by high performance boards. In contrast to experts who base prescriptions on number-crunching exercises, the Board Effectiveness Program identifies the real problems that drain directors’ time and suppress their best judgment and explains clearly and succinctly how boards can solve those problems.

This program provides the latest thinking and battle-tested solutions from some of the world’s most knowledgeable boardroom veterans on how directors can best make a leadership difference. These battle-tested solutions help boards achieve what rules and regulations to get succession right, refine a winning strategy, and design a rational CEO compensation package. It will examine the changing role of boards with some of the world’s most pre-eminent thought leaders on the subject. Participants who currently serve on a board will learn how to improve their board decision making and execution.

The participants will be led by faculty members and distinguished practitioners and trusted advisors to some of the world’s most successful CEOs, serving on the boards of Google, Gazprom, World Economic Forum and United Nations.

Through practitioner-led lectures and first-rate networking with other boardroom leaders, participants will discover their own pathway for leadership success.

Each curriculum module is designed with 70% experimental learning, 20% coaching and mentoring and 10% training.

With a unique blend of classroom training, access to relevant latest research and standards, and sessions with leading authorities to maximize the impact on each participant, providing executives with a practical hands-on setting to explore the latest thinking, practices and techniques to immediately apply new skills.

Between the two modules, a personal Board Effectiveness Profile Assessment and 360 degree Board Effectiveness Assessment combined with individual coaching and a personal development plan will be completed to ensure competencies go beyond the classroom.

The individual registration fee of €19.200 Euro (excl. VAT) covers tuition, handouts, case materials, conference facilities and team building games. Travel and accommodations is not included.
